In 1977 a a young man, Hurley, Marc A., embarked on a journey to become a United States Marine by graduatiing from 3rd Battalion, India Company, Platoon 3076. Exactly 25 years later his son, Hurley, Michael T., took a journey to become a United States Marine. The son started with 3rd Battalion, India Company, Platoon 3076 but graduated with 2nd Battalion, Golf Company, Platoon 2093 after being dropped 1 week prior to graduation due to a near death experience after being bit by a poisonous spider.
